Charles E. Liken Jr., Esq. is the founder and sole attorney of The Longmont Law Firm. A graduate of the University of Denver Sturm College of Law (Class of 2002), Charles brings more than twenty-two years of dedicated legal experience as a Colorado attorney to his practice in Longmont and throughout Northern Colorado. He previously served as a Deputy District Attorney, and he is a mediator as well as a Child and Family Investigator (CFI).

Charles focuses his practice primarily on family law, guiding clients through divorce, child custody and parenting time disputes, child support, spousal maintenance, and property division. As the firm’s only attorney, he personally handles every case from beginning to end, providing direct access, honest assessments, and strategic advocacy tailored to each family’s unique needs.

With his extensive background in both family and criminal law—including his prior work as a government investigator and prosecutor—Charles is uniquely equipped to help clients whose family law matters overlap with criminal cases such as protection orders, DUI charges, or domestic violence (DV) allegations.
